In the News!

In December 2022, Alexis visited TK students at an LAUSD elementary school. She read the students a story from the children's book she wrote, engaged them with an entertaining hip hop dance, and encouraged them to study hard, listen to the teacher, and reach for their dreams.

Alexis conducted "Dance Your Words" at the Providence Wellness and Activity Center in Wilmington, San Pedro Regional Library, Redondo Beach Library, and San Pedro & Peninsula YMCA. See "Gallery."

Alexis was a guest speaker at the Women's Speaker Series at the San Pedro Regional Library.

Alexis delivered a winning speech about WriteKids at the Palos Verdes Sunset Rotary Contest.

Alexis read stories from her book to TK students at an elementary school in Los Angeles County. WriteKids donated books to the children.

WriteKids donated to support the reconstruction of a school ravaged in an earthquake in Jawalakhel, Nepal. See "Gallery."

Alexis donated a portion of her David Chow Award winnings to the Peninsula Friends of the Library.
