The Most Amazing Birthday
by Jade

On the day of my 10th birthday, I was awakened by a small whisper in my ear. I heard, “wakey wakey there’s a day full of surprises today.” My gigantic German Shepherd was licking my face as I opened my eyes. I could smell the sweet scent of a delicious birthcake being battered with chocolate vanilla frosting. I got out of bed and saw a mysterious letter on the stairs, it said “To Jade, the special girl. “As I was reading the letter I saw a limo pull up in front of my house. My parents told me to get dressed but I was too lazy to change. They didn’t really care. But just in case I shouted, “I’m going in pajammies!”

I hopped into the limo and saw a celebrity next to me. It was Michelle Kwan! She told me we’re going to the best place on Earth. I was excited for the surprise and looked out the window and all the cars said, “Happy Birthday Jade.” As we pulled up in Disneyland, I saw Walt Disney in front of me. Oh wait just kidding, it was a life size poster of Walter. Michelle Kwan and I were deciding which park to go to first and of course we chose California Adventure. The very first ride we went on was Radiator Springs Racers, then California screamin. It was so radical. There were so many rides at California Adventure I can’t name them all.

Then a loud rumble came. It was my stomach growling like a tiger. I told my parents and Michelle Kwan that I was starving. Michelle then took me to the #1 greatest chef’s restaurant, Guess who it is….It was Bobby Flay. He had been on food network like Iron Chef, Throwdown With Bobby Flay and I even got a picture and autograph with him. I asked Bobby if he could whip me up one of his famous meals. He gave me delicious ribeye steak and mashed potatoes on the side. For dessert I had tiramisu cake with sweet homemade whip cream. I finished my lunch faster than the speed of light. Best of all it was free! Without further notice Michelle was taking me to something her workers had been working on. It was a private rink! The ice shone bright like a diamond. We got on the ice together it felt like slipping in a bathroom. She taught me her signature moves. The double loop, flip, and lutz. Wrapping up the skating fun we gave a performance to my mom and dad for their hard work. It was the best performance I gave my entire life.

Then Michelle mentioned “Hey! How about heading over to Disneyland.” Of course I said, “Yes.” The first ride at Disneyland we went on was Pirates of a Caribbean. Arrhh! We chose this ride because I always love the warning the skeleton gives. Then we go down a huge drop. There was treasure, parties, and stealing in this pirate world. Following along with all the amazing other rides we went on Finding Nemo. We hopped into a bright yellow submarine. The submarine took me to fun adventures where you are a scientist observing the ocean of our friendly fellows. Then something popped into my head. World of Color! I was suppose to attend the show! I ran faster than a cheetah catching for its meal. Luckily, I made it on time and had a chance to see the beautiful dark and bright colors turn into famous Disney Characters. I cried watching the show. Then Michelle lightly tapped me on the shoulder and said it was time for me to go home. I thanked Michelle for spending time with me the whole day at Disneyland. The limo driver took us into the limosine and I fell to sleep when I got in. The next morning I woke up brightly and noticed my skates were in my arms. They were signed by the best skater in the whole galaxy, Michelle Kwan.

My Best Birthday Ever
by Michael

On the morning of my 8th birthday, my parents woke me up by saying “We have a day of special surprises planned for you”. First i went to Cake land! There were cakes everywhere. i ate all of them. I absolutely loved that place! Then i went to the kingdom of Alexander the great. I went to the barn and tamed the greatest horse in all of the land. Next I went to Santa’s Grotto. Santa let me take all of his presents for me. After that I took a plane to Africa. It took me in two seconds. I road on my horse and then i got a cheetah. It was so fun. Finally the day was getting dark so I went to bed and thought about what would happen next year.
